| Spike, I uploaded a photo of RVDE pumpkin to Hortiplex. (It's under Cucurbita maxima var. maxima). I carefully typed the variety name in the picture "title" area, but this does not show up on the Hortiplex. I didn't check off any boxes or write any comments -- I didn't grow that one, I took the photo at a demonstration garden. I just uploaded the picture because that particular entry didn't have one.
Well, you can guess what's coming next. Can I now add the title that got left off? Or should I just ask you to erase the whole thing and let me start over? How are you going to handle human error on the Hortiplex? I think this is going to be great -- the Oxford English Dictionary was also largely assembled with volunteers, and the Hortiplex would seem to be about the same size, or larger! |

| Nora, Basically, we need to add a separate record for the varity before you post it. Each cultivar should have it's own record, so many need to be added. | Ahh! You've addressed my concern in a perfectly beautiful and elegant way. Now I have a "member journal" on My Page, so I can go in and fix the record I've entered. And the picture caption has now magically appeared, so all is well. Thank you, thank you, thank you. |

| OK, let's start over. My original complaint was that the "image caption" that I typed in does not show under the picture in the Hortiplex. I thought I goofed and did something wrong. Now that we have member journals, I know that I did everything right. So, this is still not working for me. Proof: if you click on the link you will see the picture and "By Nora_in_Vancouver" "By Nora_in_Vancouver". To see this, click link in my message above. No image caption. What you should see is "Rouge Vif d'Etampes" by "Nora_in_Vancouver". Now, I know it's there, cuz if you click THIS link, you'll see it too. |

| Nora, I see "Rouge Vif d'Etampes aka Cinderella" directly under the image and that's what you have in the caption field. Click on the edit button next to that entry in your journal. |

| OK, I get it now. 1. There is no Caption displayed on the main Hortiplex page. 2. The "Image" and the "Remarks" may have been contributed by different people, so the contributor's name appears under each one. |
