I saw it yesterday too. It is a nice feature, like the Garden Watchdog at Dave's Garden, but I'm not sure a forum format is the best way to do it.

At first I even thought that it was totally unnecessary since there is the Garden Watchdog, but after I found out that Dave's Garden has been sold it wouldn't hurt to have two websites with this type of feature. However, it would be nice if GardenWeb invested some time and resources into making it a full feature and not just a forum.

Hopefully if this new forum stirs some interest they will improve it later :)

I like Dave's Garden Watchdog. It is structured so you can easily see all the reviews for any nursery. Also, nurseries may respond to any negative feedback, which helps to see both sides in any disagreement. Until there are any negative changes at Dave's, resulting from their sale, I will continue to use Dave's Garden Watchdog.

Is there a reason, I haven't thought of, that a vendor could not give "his side", as well, on this GW "Rate and Review" forum?

Nurseries could give their side on GW 'Rate and Review'; however, they would have to monitor this site in order to see a rating of their nursery. I doubt if many nurseries would want to do this.

Garden Watchdog has an email address and website address for each nursery. Oftentimes I use the Garden Watchdog to find a nursery's website. Anyway, I think nurseries may be notified by email when there is a negative rating given to them, which will then allow them to enter their viewpoint on Garden Watchdog.
