We're trying to Adopt and need your help!

My husband and I have been trying to have baby #2 for over 3 years now and we've had no luck conceiving neither the natural way, or with fertility measures.

We've decided it's time for us to move onto adoption and are in the middle of doing our home study.

Here's what we need help with:

Our agency has shared with us that over half of adoptions in the private sector (ie, not thru foster care) are done where the adoptive parents end up finding a birth mother on their own.

Many folks think that school-aged girls are the ones most likely to place a baby for adoption, but that's not true. The average age birth mom, looking to place a child for adoption, is a little older.... 19-22 (think, college age), who is just starting to get her life together and doesn't want to have to worry about parenting.

So, maybe your next door neighbor has a niece whose best friend is pregnant and is not ready to parent. Or maybe you know a family who is pregnant with another child and cannot afford to care for it. Or even a family where they thought they were done having kids and "oops!"

Please keep us in mind if you come across this situation. Our agency can work with a birthmom in any state of the US.

Thank you!
