Hi from Sunny Warm Florida?!?

We're here and there's a lot of frost damage on the tender plants from the cold spell that FL. was having. Yesterday was the first time that the temp. reached above 60 degrees since the first of the year in this area. There are pansies and petunias still blooming in certian areas and they have plants for sale in Wallyworld.

Our cat Maxwell hates to travel so he was very unhappy till we finally got settled in . The minute it looks like we are packing up he heads for the bedroom to cower beside the bed.

We don't have internet reception at the S P so we are at the local Micky D's to get free access.

We are S E of Tampa about 20 miles. Am wearing capris and sandels for the first time today and don't need a sweater tonight..

Lucky you, Connie! I have on three layers and I'm still cold and not liking it. I may just give up and take a nap!!

Enjoy the warmth and keep us posted so we can live vicariously through you! Hope Maxwell has come to realize how fortunate he really is now.

Heeeeyyyy Connie!!! Are you going to do the 'tourist' thing and check out all the popular places?
Have you been to 'Silver Springs' (I grew up swimming there)?

You HAVE to do the 'Holy Land Experience' in Orlando!!! Be sure to get there before 10:00 a.m.
as it will take you till they close (5:00 p.m.) to take it all in!!! I LOVE that place!!!

Love reading all about your vacation,we have thought about travling with our two cats, but, may not be such a good idea,as we will not be staying in the same place,are you going by rt,of a mobile home,camping, hotels, what?

Hi all,

We will be heading for our 3rd. State Park tomorrow morning.

We have an RV to travel in Carol. I thought I told you about it , sorry.

Janice we will be spending time at the Silver River S P campgrounds. I probably won't be swimming though. haha

The weather is much nicer the longer we stay. Today we went to Lake Placid and walked around and looked at the many murals that are painted on the buildings. We have friends who winter in Sebring and they were our escorts for a couple of days.

Because we can't get a signal for Internet in the parks we are using Mc Donalds and Fred is upset because they have been out of ice cream sundaes mix. the last two times we have been here!

Hi,

No I'm not meeting up with Janice but that would be nice. We will be staying in the same area she grew up in. The weather still isn't cooperating. Today is one of the best days this week and it will only be in the low 50's for a high.

We went to Rainbow Springs State Park to see the azaleas and they are just starting to bloom as well as the red bud trees. The camellias are beautiful.

We met a father and son who were from Frankfort IL. who planned on taking a dip in the spring. The water temp. which is around 72 or 73 degrees year round was warmer than the air. We didn't stay to see them swim.

Have to go as we want to do some shopping and be home in time to see American Idol.
