Hosta bulb or rhizomes

Aloha Everyone,
I'm back. I haven't been to this site for a long time. I was doing some research on Hostas. A friend gave me a plant along time ago. I planted it in the ground and this year dug it up to thin it out. I could see the bulbs on the bottom. I thought they were Hostas, they look like Hostas but they have bulbs. My research shows that Hostas have rhizomes. Does anyone know if there are Hostas with bulbs?

Welcome back 'hawaiianeyes'! You might want to post this on the 'discussion' side of the hosta forum!
It will get more attention as the 'conversation' side tends to be kinda quiet this time of the year!

I would not describe hosta as having bulbs! Rhizomes are what they multiply from, I'm thinking, but maybe
others on the 'other' side can give you a more technical answer! :o)

Do come back to this side, though--we can use the attention! We get kinda lonely here, as I said, 'this
time of the year'! :o)
