That is really unusual bark, great shots. I like birch trees too though I don't have any I admire them from afar :-)

Oh they are so beautiful, aren't they?Where I am, all we have are birch, some nasty black spuce and willow.I love the black branches on the birch. When the leaves all fall off, the white bark and black limbs are spectacular in the snow! I bought from a place, won't say the name, that isn't know for quality. It was in my young and stupid days, lol.

I had ordered white birch hoping to get the beautiful plant you have. Ended up with River Birch and of the 6 I ordered, only 2 survived and those two were planted in a clump so I basically only have one tree.

Not exactly what I wanted, but it has proved beautiful in it's own right.

Still not as beautiful as yours. I am so flippen jealous of you right now. Thanks for sharing your pics.
