The only tags in the sales area said only Aureo-marginata, but I did find a plastic tag laying on the ground that said montana. This plant looked like the picture on the tag. It was worth the roll of the dice. There was a big sale and I paid $8.95 for this hosta in a 5 gallon pot with wall to wall eyes. The holes are hail damage from a storm 2 days ago, and I never got a drop of rain.

Here is the measure of the tape:

mound width 31"

height 11"

leaf length 7 1/3"

width 5 1/3"

vein count 10 VP

5 scapes with the two longest being 22"

I found 12 pods on the scapes.

It looks nothing like my F. Aureomarginata and its measurements no where near ventricosa.

moccasinlanding, you've inspired me to blow my July garden budget. The gorgeous angel is 19" tall and will oversee my Theresa's Angel Garden, so I guess I can call her Angel Theresa. If you can put a price on an Angel, she was on sale also: $25.00!

The only pics I have of m. Aureomarginat show early season plants. What does a late season hosta look like.

What do you think it is?

Les
