| I wanted to introduce myself first. I'm Marnie from northern Illinois. A long time gardener, animal lover, and very amateur photographer. The people on this side of the hosta forum are so interesting (not that the ones on the other side are less interesting;~). So may different topics. I've loved the threads about pets and visitors to everyone's gardens.
Anyway, thank you Janice for inviting me to the conversations side. I'm really enjoying the threads and photos. |

Great to have you 'bean'! And really glad you're enjoying yourself on both sides of this Forum! As you may be observing there is so much to learn from good seasoned hosta-growers and even the newbies have much to contribute that makes it very interesting! Where else can you learn such great stuff, like "doing a heat treatment in a washing machine"! LOL Thanks to Ademink, for thinking up a unique idea that I bet lots of us will be giving a try! Hope to see more of you, now!! Once you've made an appearance, we look for you to be posting more and more! :o)

| Thanks for the welcome everyone. teresa, I am an accountant:~) Thought the name was both a clue to my career and a garden theme. Never considered it could easily sound male. Janice, I missed the washing machine heat treatment. Have to go back and try to find that thread. Marnie |

| Here ya go, Marnie! Wouldn't want you to miss that one! :o) |
Here is a link that might be useful: How to wash a nematode!
RE: Introduction and thank you
| | |
I used the search feature and found the cooking nematodes in the washing machine thread. BUT right before that one is: the "Boxers, briefs, thongs or granny-pants" thread which also mentions washing machines. So now I know who uses a potting wheel, who has a tattoo or other body art;~), who wears rubber boots and Birkenstocks, and who doesn't bother with underwear. That thread turned out to be a little more interesting than the washing your hosta in the Maytag thread. There are no secretes here. |

| Well, (blush) thanks y'all for the welcome. I wasn't exactly hanging around just waiting for an invitation. lol (Visions of the new girl at school nobody wants to eat lunch with.) I just never spend much time on the conversation forums. Anyway, I was catching up on hostas and saw Janice's post about this side of the hosta forum. Everybody seems so friendly and there were several interesting threads about pets and wildlife and of course boxers, briefs and thongs;~) It's fun to be with people that don't take themselves too seriously. |
