Joyce, if you think the enabling is bad over here, you should see the Rose Forum! I've got so many roses on my wish list, it's scaring me!

Do you have good ground for Roses or are you amending??? I can not grow roses in this MO. ground here. they will grow but unless I do something with the soil (and I really don't like doing that) I have tiny roses and they don't continue to bloom all summer:( too many rocks as well, it is really hard to dig a nice sized hole for a rose, I have but I have also broke a shovel doing it (I am a big shovel breaker, I go through around 5 a year)

Deanna, I don't need enabling for the roses either :-) The only reason I've stopped with them is that my rosebed is full, plus I refuse to buy roses that need to be babied here in Southern MN. I have a bed full of Z 2-3 roses with only a couple of Z4's. I love every one of them. Then, I usually buy a couple of tea roses which I treat as annuals, grow in pots, and enjoy until the season's end.
