Also I want to ask if you are familiar with Robbie Robinson's music. He was with The Band as a really young man of 17, and one of his songs I dearly love has lyrics linked below. I also liked the Native American album you featured. Robbie Robinson did a whole album with the Cherokee tribe (included singer Rita Coolidge) and I had it for many years. Listen to THE GHOST DANCE on that one, and IT IS A GOOD DAY TO DIE. All from his album MUSIC FOR NATIVE AMERICANS, and in collaboration with the Red Road Ensemble. I did not know when I heard it about his family interest in Native American culture...his dad was Jewish, his mom was a Mohawk....also, check out some of his songs on YouTube uploads. I see that GHOST DANCE is there, and CHEROKEE MORNING SONG too.

Hi moccasin, I forgot I wrote this post so sorry for the delayed response. Glad you like my blog and the music. I haven't heard of Robbie Robinson before, I'll check him out. When I was in high school I used to stay up late on Sunday nights to listen (and record on cassette tape) music from the program called Hearts Of Space, which is where I learned of Serrie's and Nakai's music among many, many others that you wouldn't hear anywhere else. I haven't worked on my novel in two months, I open the file and read what I have written, but then close it. I got myself into a funk that I need to pull myself out from. At least I continue to post on my blog, but I've been really dragging myself to do it. I open my computer and all I want to do is dink around on the internet the whole time. I need to stop. Not writing is not getting this book(s) done.
