Rainy Day--laundry's piling up, BUT...

Janice

I can't get on with the task I SHOULD be doing today!

And, speaking of 'rain'--I want to share with you, some things I'm enjoying! Here's a link to am acapella group,

from Slovenia, that is just OUT OF THIS WORLD!!

Turn your volume up--all the way, (hope you have good speakers) and listen as the whole 60+ member-group

are rubbing their hands together, in the beginning, and listen for the progression of 'rain' in the song, 'AFRICA'!

So kewl!!! I've not had a day pass, in the last 21, that this tune has not played in my head at some point of

my day, as a result of this group!!!

Here are the lyrics if you want to follow along:

I hear the drums echoing tonight

But she hears only whispers of some quiet conversation

Shes coming in 12:30 flight

The moonlit wings reflect the stars that guide me towards salvation

I stopped an old man along the way

Hoping to find some long forgotten words or ancient melodies

He turned to me as if to say, hurry boy, its waiting there for you

Chorus:

Its gonna take a lot to drag me away from you

Theres nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do

I bless the rains down in africa

Gonna take some time to do the things we never had

The wild dogs cry out in the night

As they grow restless longing for some solitary company

I know that I must do whats right

Sure as kilimanjaro rises like olympus above the serengeti

I seek to cure whats deep inside, frightened of this thing that Ive become

Chorus

(instrumental break)

Hurry boy, shes waiting there for you

Its gonna take a lot to drag me away from you

Theres nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do

I bless the rains down in africa, I bless the rains down in africa

I bless the rains down in africa, I bless the rains down in africa

I bless the rains down in africa

Gonna take some time to do the things we never had!

Keep in mind--all sounds are made by people without instruments, using ONLY their voices

and mouths, hands and fingers, etc.!! :o)

Enjoy--hope you do!!!
