For those of you that remember the rebel wilddog.

www.brwshow.com

They are becoming very popular on the internet with their no nonsense approach to just about anything. I had a few laughs but I learned a little too!

Denny, too bad more people don't listen to these guys. Thanks for posting it! They are absolutely right in their part one piece on socialism! My dad relied on Medicare for the last several years of his life-he really needed the help. People who say they want the government out of their lives might want to reconsider if they ever need 911, the police, firemen, state and federal highways, public school for their kids, etc. I am going back to listen to the other parts. Had to go through YouTube, though. Thanks for sending.

Thanks Denny, That was great. I listened to all of them. I loved the comments on socialism and what it really means vs what some elements of society would like you to believe. I recomend this to anyone. Myrle

    Janice,

You always post as a Christian lady. The pillar of honest ethical behavior. Now I find you purposely mislead other members of this forum. The site you referred to is clearly not the http://brwshow.com. I'm surprised in your behavior. Why did you do this to the members of this forum? I don't understand you doing this.

Here is a link that might be useful: Butch, Ray & Walt Show

rcb2--I'm sorry you feel I was being dishonest--it was meant as a joke! I figured it would be seen to be just that,
    an attempt to be funny!

I had scrolled on down on the Youtube site and ran across the same *BRW* usage and just simply thought it was a funny
    coincidence!

I hope you have noticed I can be a 'tease' at times too, which does not contradict my Christianity nor
my honesty. It's part of my 'package'!

I thought Butch would find it funny, too, since I know he checks out the forum regularly and has been
known to use his style of humor frequently, too!

    You really didn't think it was funny? I mean--as a 6th installment--even a little? I guess I'm way weird!

Again--I'm sorry that you feel I let you and others down!

    janice (sometimes just too silly)

Oh, and welcome to the forum *rcb2*--I'm sorry your decision to join in, was caused by something so negative!

I'm sure you will find much more 'positive' on these forums!

Hope to see you on the 'Discussion' side of the forum, as well! :o)

Highly recomended. Frightening. Who looks like the Anti-Christ now? I would expect that the honest, gentle spirited conservatives and Christians would be hanging their heads in shame to be caught on the same "side" as preacher Anderson Stephen Anderson from Arizona. Butch, Walt and Ray, I hope you remember that these are the people that probably carry guns.

I have begun telling friends about these guys. They are absolutely right and I hope more people start to listen to them rather than the crazies who wrap themselves in Christianity, but seem to have no true understanding of its teachings. They are truly frightening and are turning this country into someplace I hardly recognize.

Well--as the resident 'conservative Christian' on this forum I feel compelled to try and speak on behalf
of those of us who do not feel as the guy on that video does!

Myrle--Just for the record--I do not feel the need/> to "hang my head in shame"! He's the one who should
do that (but don't hold your breath)! I didn't do what he did and, I am not in his 'camp' so his shame is not
    my own!

My 'conservative Christianity' has NOTHING to do with racism! My church has nothing to do with 'racism'!
I have no friends or acquaintances who have a hatred of any person because of the color of their skin, be they
black, or half black! I know of no church in our community, city or state that eschews what is on that tape!

There are many who have very strong feelings about the indifference to killing the unborn! That does not make us
pray for people who value a minnow over an unborn child to go to hell!

It's a handful of crack-pots, (not all conservative Christians) that want to make a name for themselves
in this way! It does nothing to glorify God or bring people to Christ to do such a thing, but it does
help add to the fodder for those who do hate us, for being seriously *Christian*!

I think to even give ANY air-time and publicity to such as was provided by the BRW-boys, with that
particular video,is to further the cause of such, who seek such fame.

Congratulations--*boys* you just helped further promote such tripe!

Thank you Denny for providing the links to the BRW site! I also agree with them and found their videos informative and entertaining.

With all the insanity and hatred being directed toward President Obama it is refreshing to see free thinking people who aren't afraid to express their viewpoint. The kind of garbage that is being thinly disguised as Christianity needs to be exposed for what it is.
Three cheers to Butch, Ray and Walt, keep up the good work!

(and to rcb2 a big welcome to our Hosta Forum!)

Not to start/continue an argument, but I think that if we all, no matter which end of the political spectrum we are on, speak up when hatred is spewed and make it known that such "free speech" is unacceptable to us, perhaps we will see a reduction in the tension now so apparent. Quite frankly, too many are making up or repeating outright lies (hello, birthers, Rush, Senator Grassley, etc.). Some of these people have a national forum and I think it is time to stand up to them. Butch, Ray, and Walt are doing just that with facts rather than lies. There are way too many looney tunes out there who hear this sort of thing and then proceed to act with violence. There have been more death threats against President Obama than any other president in history and I even recall a sign at a town meeting that threatened his wife and children. Just plain unacceptable.

Whooow...I must not have said that right. I don't think any "gentle spirited concervatives and Christians" SHOULD be hanging their heads in shame (maybe embarassment would have been a better word) but that at least some of them probably ARE. Because Stephen Anderson is a Christian preacher at least some people will think he expresses the views of Christianity itself. It is similar to the hysteria about what the Muslim religion is all about. I know that it is only a small percentage that are terrorists but the amount of hate email promoting fear and hatred against Muslims for the last few years is digustingly huge.

Janice, you are right that "It does nothing to glorify God or bring people to Christ to do (say in his sermon) such a thing, but it does help add to the fodder for those who do hate us, for being seriously *Christian*!" It is for that reason that these crackpots need to be exposed. I hope that the legitimate Christian community denounces this man and separates themselves from his ideas. Jimmy Carter - such an honorable example of a Christian - has made puplic comments about feeling racism is at the bottom of this campaign against President Obama and the ridiculous belief that he is the anti-Christ.

I disagree that the BRW show promotes the hatred but rather they are trying to expose it. I think it probably says somewhere in the Bible that that which is dark should be exposed to the light. If it doesn't, it should. One of the quotes by Thomas Jefferson was:

"There is not a truth existing which I fear... or would wish unknown to the whole world."

Thank you McT! I agree that if those who presume to represent what we, as Christians, believe
deliberately misprepresent Him (and us), their errors should be made known.

I know, that I am on dangerous ground here, but I feel this recent video (#6) is putting me in a position to defend myself,
since earlier I was accused of intentionally trying to deceive you all, rather than making a joke that would be very quickly seen
to be *my kind of humor*, and that my 'Christianity' was somehow inconsistent with my 'joke', and by inference, suggesting
I am hypocritical for doing that! That was really hurtful to me, btw, so if that was the intention, it succeeded!

What REALLY is saddening me, though, is that there are those who do not understand, that just because someone attends
a church,(or preaches in it) it doesn't make them a 'Christian' any more than "walking into a garage makes someone a car", (a saying
I am quite familiar with and was reminded of by a forum poster, privately, not long ago), BUT, we ARE all lumped together
as though we're ALL guilty when one (or even many) fails to live out the truth of the Gospel, whether by personal failure or
because they are not the *real deal*, or because they hope to damage the reputation of the whole body of believers and also,
cause many to question the goodness, love and truth of God!

We're warned that this happens, as Jesus describes in a parable, 'wheat and tares' in the field of this earth, (known as 'church').
Tares are a weed and the seed of it are sown into the farmer's field of wheat, by his enemy. It looks absolutely identical to
the wheat, in the beginning, all the way up to the *day of harvest*. The purpose of sowing in the tares (unbelievers posing as believers)
is to choke out the wheat making the farmer's harvest much less plentiful than he first believed.

We are told not to try and pull out the 'tares' because in the process we might uproot some of the wheat, (the real believers)
but that in the day of the *harvest* (Judgment) the 'tares' will be identified and dealt with appropriately!

So this explains why some look like the real deal but aren't, but God knows the heart of us all
and only He can truly judge that, in anyone! And, it's certainly not my job to do that, either!

So--where am I in the whole scheme of things as a 'believer' or a 'Christian'? I believe in the truthfulness of all things taught
by Jesus! I believe He truly is the Son of God, and as such, He came to die for my sins and the sins of all who recognize Him
as Savior and ask Him to forgive them for their sinfulness and save them from the penalty that is the eternal consequence of sin.

I believe He died, and was buried for 3 days and rose again and ultimately ascended to heaven and sits at the right hand of the Father,
in His rightful position--always confirming and affirming to the Father, that we who have come to believe are rightfully His--always ready
to hear our prayers and answer them in the way that is always best, for His ultimate plan!

And, I believe He is coming back, again!

I am not a 'cafeteria style' believer in the Bible--I believe it all!

I am not looking to open up further dialog that is not permissable on this forum, about my faith, but, feel free to email me if it's important
enough to you to question me about what I believe, any further!

It's just that simple and it's that deep!

So--I'm done defending what I believe and who I am as a 'Conservative Christian, making no apologies for what I believe but hoping that
many will understand what it is I am, as a 'believer', NOT a 'Self-rightous White Right', and certainly NOT perfect, since I find that I fail
to live out what I know is right, more often than I like, but definitely forgiven and therefore legitimate 'wheat' in the field!

Oh, and my point about the posting of that man's rant is that it is only gaining him the additional attention he
is obviously seeking and that it stirs up more hatred for those of us who truly are not in 'his camp' if what he says
is any representation of what he believes.

So, if this thread is pulled and I am no longer permitted to be a part of the GardenWeb community, for what I have felt I had to explain,
then I wish you all God's best and I hope to see each of you, one day, in His great Garden above!

I was raised in a God fearing home and attended church three times a week and sometimes 4 or 5 times if there was a revival or camp meeting somwhere. I have never once heard a preacher talk about hating anyone. I cannot believe that this guy can speak of hatred and keep a congregation at all..God is love, not hate. We are taught to love our enemys and as humans we know how hard that can be! I cannot let this man speak for me just because he represents the christian faith. He isn't like any christian that I have ever encountered and I don't want anyone to think that this is the way that christians act. I think this is a case of a man that is drunk on his own power. I really think he will get to witness Real power someday and will regret ever uttering those words.
