| Everyone is so easily offended these days:
"In what aisle could I find the Polish sausage?"
The clerk looks up and says, "Are you Polish?"
The guy (clearly offended) says, "Well, yes I am. But let me ask you something.
If I had asked for Italian sausage, would you ask me if I was Italian?
Or if I had asked for German Bratwurst, would you ask me if I was German?
Or if I asked for a kosher hot dog would you ask me if I was Jewish?
Or if I had asked for a Taco, would you ask if I was Mexican?"
"If I asked for some Irish whiskey, would you ask if I was Irish?"
The clerk says, "Well, no, I probably wouldn't!"
With deep self-righteous indignation, the guy says, "Well then, why did you ask me
if I'm Polish because I asked for Polish sausage?"
The clerk replied, "Because you're in Home Depot!"
I hope I have not offended anyone of Polish descent! In fact, there may be some Polish roots
in my family, too! :o) |

Oh, thought you would enjoy this.
Talking to my daughter yesterday,says she to me"I am going to office depot to day to get my signs laminated"says i to her"Office Depot laminates signs"?Says she,"Of course, they laminate any thing you want laminated,"'They have a whole office of supplies"
In my minds eye, I am trying to picture which isle in home depot would do that/

LOL--cAROL--I confess I might have had to go through the same 'processing' myself--those two need
to do something to distinguish one from the other more! LOL I'm so glad I didn't really offend you, cAROL! I really do think ethnic jokes can be cruel, but the
reaction of this person was just so funny and all! Gulp! I could see me making such a mistake and getting
all indignant and all--(oh, man)--and then having to 'eat crow'!!! |

No offence taken Janice,
I am conditioned,ya know, over the years, it does that.
My father was Polish,my mother French,my grandparents only spoke Polish,and French,never taught us kids how to speak either,isn't that just awful!How i wish i could speak another language,I can barley speak this one,ha ha
