MN Hosta Society

The Minnesota Hosta Society now has a website. It's in the early stages - still being developed. I am not the webmaster - but I am the Technology and Communication Chair. Not a board postition - just a volunteer position.

If you have not gotten involved with your local society I suggest you give it a whirl. I joined the MHS in July 2005. I've participated in two leaf shows. At one I helped with the registration and at the second I was a clerk with a judging team. I also helped organize the garden tour this past June and was a bus captain which was pretty fun.

Anyone else in Minnsota belong? Minnesota may be the site of the 2010 National Hosta Convention!

I joined the Tri-State Hosta Society for the greater NY/NJ/CT area, because of a leaf show they hosted last summer, and that was the begining of my addiction.

They're having Olga Petryszyn come and give a talk to the members titled "Playing with Pollen". This is exactly what I need to hear after being bitten by the hybridizing bug (thanks Curtis!!). The annual membership fee is nominal, and worth every penny.
