Yes - I am in south central Minnesota - just 5 miles outside of downtown Minneapolis!

I don't think we've ever had snow that accumulated this early!

I'm in that little dip of z4 that comes into Illinois 20 miles from the Wisconsin border. I think I am anyway, I can't tell for sure.

We're supposed to go down to near freezing this weekend,so today,I moved all my Christmas cacti down to the basement for the winter. Of course,this will trigger early blooming of them,but that's always nice! I wish I had a four seasons sun room,so I could see them upstairs all year! BTW,the hostas still look pretty good,considering,but I think that will change after this weekend! Phil

Turned cold fast here too, glad I got the cactus in before it did so, sure wasn't expecting it to get this cold so soon.

We've had two consecutive nights being in the 20s and I don't think it got much above 35 yesterday. But as I was rolling down the lane this morning I noticed my hostas still looked pretty good. Now, maybe that was because they were all frozen in place, but none look mushy. They will probably be that way when I get home tonight. Sun is out today and it's a balmy 48. :)
