Bypassing winter?

Its been so warm here that the poor cherry tree next door is in full bloom. I thought it was a plum tree, but I took a closer look at it, here are some pics. Happy Spring??

Hope as I might that we bypass winter and go straight to Spring I think this is just a tease. Not certain if there will be any ill effects on the tree or not. Anyone have any thoughts?

I can't imagine that it will have more blooms next spring but you will have to keep us posted.

I always heard that when something bloomed at the wrong time it was a sign of distress?
sure is pretty though.

That is like a good omen...I bet your in for some good news. I believe mother nature will be gentle with this strong tree...maybe a slight setback in spring, but no harm.
PS: I know nothing about cherry trees...other than enjoying their splendor. :)
