Hosta Photos -Names starting with A

This is just about the time I got stir-crazy last year so I thought maybe we could liven things up a bit with the Hosta Alphabet game!

I will start; please, others don't be afraid to start a letter (in a new post).

Antioch in the center - The hosta on the left is Wolverine. Anyone know what the hosta on the right is? It has some violets in it I think. It was here when we moved here late 2005.

August Moon - still looking good on July 29!

Aurora Borealis - not looking too bad yet

Please everyone join in! Give me an A!

Gorgeous specimens everyone! I am so anxious for spring! My husband keeps catching me staring out the windows at my barren gardens and laughing at me.

I'll add A's that haven't been listed so far...
Arc de Triomphe. A vigorous grower and looks nice all year. Takes a good amount of sun.
Arc de Triomphe 5-17-07

Austin Dickinson. Unimpressive the first 2 years. Now the edge is wider, and it lights up this garden after the sun passes by and it is in the shade.
Austin Dickinson 7-10-07

Alex Summers in late June. Takes a lot of mid-day sun, looks great all year, has a nice upright vase shape.
Alex Summers 6-22-07

Abiqua Drinking Gourd. Very tiny when I bought it. In its third year now, leaves starting to cup nicely.
ADG 7-10-07

Aphrodite. A high maintenance plant, for me. Don't go on vacation before it is about to bloom, or expect to kiss those large fragrant flowers goodbye. A real water hog.
Aphrodite 8-27-07
