| It seems like so long ago when the Hostas were looking good; it won't be long now.
We had some hail shortly before these photos were taken.

Beautiful hostas, cowboy! I have a lot of the same ones you have, but yours are obviously a lot older than mine. Also,I'm always amazed in how different hostas look in different areas of the country. My Olive Bailey Langdon looks a lot different than yours, but I know it's the real thing, because I bought it from a nursery near here, and they always have the correct names of hosta when they sell them. Keep up the good work! Phil,in NC.

Wow, those are so huge and gorgeous. I love June (the month) when they all look so perfect. Your garden must be really getting full. Keep posting! Myrle

Tabasco Cowboy, Those are great photos. Can't see too much mulch because the plants are so full and mature. I haven't seen Blue Striptease before. I thought Kiwi Full Monte was usually referred to as the blue version of Striptease. Is yours a different plant? Steve

Thanks for checking out the photos. Steve, Kiwi Full Monty and Blue Striptease are slightly different. Here are two photos with my best comparison. Both photos taken on the same date.

Cowboy -- wow, you have an impressive collection of seriously beautiful specimens. I suspect any hosta would be happy growing in your yard! Jan

Absolutely gorgeous! I noticed that the bedding appears to be mulch and not pine straw. Is there a reason for that? As you can tell, I am a newbie to this forum and know very little, i.e. nothing, about growing hostas except they are gorgeous!

Flymom65, I like the looks of the wood chips. I can get them free from our city, I just have to load them up myself. Each Spring I top-dress the gardens. Earlier this week I called a tree service and they are going to deliver a load of wood chps for free. Hopefully, I will continue to use them for wood chips in the future.
