| Dahli22, Thanks for checking them out. It is kind of fun to be on the other side of the enabling fence (I have been on the other side many, many times). 'Like Butta' came from Walnut Grove Nursery. He sends really nice Hostas. Cowboy |

| WOW tsbccowboy you have lovely gardens, the hostas are beautiful. I was looking at your website(very nice and very informative). I just started my collection of hostas this year and I do not know too much about judging the size of plants I receive when they come with no leaves (end of season bargains)but I see that we travel in some of the same circles as I have also purchased from clayton on ebay and I want to thank u for showing what u received because I now have an idea of the size plants I was sent. Also I have placed orders with nrb for daylilies and hostabargains love them too! Again thank u for sharing! :) Linda in NJ |

| Linda, Clayton and John (Hostabargains) are favorites of mine on eBay; they have great prices for Hostas. If you have patience with the Hostas you get from them, you will have some great Hostas in a couple of years. By the way, John (Hostabargains) is close to you in NJ. I have been very happy with the Daylilies from NRB44 on eBay. I think you are doing well in finding some great sources for plants. Thank you for checking out the website, John |

| john: walnut grove in minnesota? i was obsessed with Little House on the Prairie as a kid...i bet you've fielded questions about this...but is little house a big deal there? |

| Dahli22, I always liked the good life lessons from Little House on the Prairie; it hasn't been treated much differently than any other show around here. This Walnut Grove Nursery is in Indiana. I have been especially happy with every order from them. They are not a nursery that is talked about much on the Forums. They have some of their own introductions (which 'Like Butta' is one). Here is a photo of one of his Daylilies which I really like:

| I haven't been to the gallery because no one has posted for such a long time and just looked today and found you!! Love your emerging hosta pictures and the thought of seeing them come back again in 6 months. I guessed at quite a few names and did so so. Thanks for sharing Cowboy. Connie |

Oh, my!!! I accidentally landed here, while beaming back and forth between 'Conversation' (not much going on there)to 'Discussion' and I'm sure glad I got side-tracked here. Your pix are so awesome, John! Thank you for sharing them, especially these days! They have given me 'a shot in the arm' and I can't wait for Spring again! I love the 'show' in Spring with the sometimes purple eyes emerging, pushing up to stand tall and slowly unfurl, and the leaves displaying their particular Spring colors lasting well into Summer! Then, the Summer show begins, with many scapes making their appearance early on! Thank you, John--oh, and I STILL love my daylily magnets! :o) |

| They are all so gorgeous John, hard to pick a favorite but I especially love your Ebbtide. Looking at your picture perfect spring pix makes me long for next year! |

| Connie, Janice & Shade - Thank You for checking out the photos. It is such a magical time of year when the Hostas are putting on beautiful, new growth. Ebb Tide is a really nice Hosta. I moved the one in the photo last Summer because Satisfaction (which is right behind Ebb Tide in the photo but you can't see it yet) was way overcrowding Ebb Tide. |

| I,too just dropped in here on the gallery side, and It's amazing how quickly we forget what hostas look like in the spring! Amazing pics! However,I have to disagree with six months from then. My hostas start coming up in early March, with montana A. starting in late Feb.! That's just the way it is. I can't discourage montana A. from coming up early. It never looks good all season, because it always gets zapped by a spring freeze. I have to watch my Sagaes, also. I guess hosta up nort' just know better! Lol! Keep up the good work. Phil in NC |

| Phil, Our Hostas start coming up in late April; quite a bit after yours. The way I figure it, The Hostas will look about the same (hopefully bigger) six months from now as they did six months ago. Both my Montana Aureomarginata and Sagae get big fast. Cowboy Here are photos of Like Butta and Montana Aureomarginata, almost exactly a year apart. Now I just have to wait to see what 2010 brings.
