Hosta P 2015

Pixie Vamp suffered in the early spring heat wave of 2012 but has recovered nicely.

My 3 year old Parhelion. The leaves are few but huge. I've been surprised by the fast growth rate. I may have to move
    the plants around it.

Thought I would add Pacific Blue Edger since it has not been mentioned. It's not the greatest blue, but it's vigorous and well suited as an edger. Mine is about 12 years old with about 75 to 80 pips, and obviously it's squeezing its neighbors. Probably time to split it up.

This is not my Paul's Glory, but it's a great one from the Winter Nursery near our cabin in Hayward, Wis.

Mbug thanks. As you probably know Pandora's Box is on Don Rawson's difficult to grow list. The thing I've noticed is that some of the PBs have wider green margins than others. I'm fortunate that I got one with the wider green margin. I think yours is one with the wider margin too. With the way you grow your hostas yours will surpass mine in size in no time I'm sure.

Irawon: I like your Paradise Joyce. I have seen it in books and have always admired it. Yours is just as lovely.

I just love Paul's Glory. I agree with you Harryshoe---"One of the finest hosta I've seen anywhere. It looks great all season long."

Newhostalady, there are so many lovely Paul's Glory being displayed here. Enjoyed your pic how you've integrated yours into your lanscape...not something I do easily.

Another grouping of Praying Hands, in front of Brave Amherst and Inniswood. They looked cool in the cinder block too, but had poor survivability.

Tepelus, another great Praying Hands pot! I can't believe yours is so large already.

I agree with New hosta lady and Harryshoe. Paul's Glory is an outstanding hosta. It looks good here for almost the whole 8 month growing season.

I bought this big boy in 2013. I've not regretted the price, either.

Paul's Glory. One of my favorites as well.

Thanks, BK. Let's hope this one makes it through the winter. I have it tipped over on the ground away from the deck so snow doesn't get piled on it. Lost the last one last year due to rot. The winter hasn't been as brutal as last year. Maybe the creeping jenny will even make it. We'll see come spring. After losing so many hostas in pots the past two years I've kept only one in a pot, so here's to hoping it survives.

Wow, so many beauties that begin with P!

Hostanista, your Pineapple Punch looks like it's vibrating....great shot.

Love Pizzazz; what a striking Hosta!

Pride and Joy, Paradise Glory....all beautiful.

My favorite has to be Proud Sentry. After seeing all these shots it's now on my "must have" list.
