I've been having lots of fun seeing all the hostas, and next year will label my photos so I know what they are and can join in. Frances Williams looked very strange this year, lots of mis-marked leaves. She still had the normal dessication marks, though.

I almost hate to post my tiny plants but someday will be big and beautiful like the rest of the pro growers . Here is my baby

Fire Opal - a Gold Standard sport

    Fireworks - a Loyalist sport

Formal Attire (Breeders Choice x Frances Williams)- looking good in August- as it matures leaves should be a bit rugose

Fourteen Carats - 2nd year, a George Smith Sport - expecting leaves will be bigger and rounder this year

Tiny plant? I don't think so. Just so my fellow Lyman Hill hosta addict doesn't get a complex, here is my Fire and Ice. It's a pretty plant but not exactly fast. I post lots of pictures of small plants. Fragrant Blue was in the 6th year when the picture above was taken. Post away with the small new plants. Sometimes they are a surprise like Fluted Fountain (also above) in only the 2nd year.

Bernd, your Frances Williams has a very pretty blue different from the rest. Here's mine on June 10. My Jack of Diamonds looks a lot like FW.

Seems that Fire and Ice is a very popular hosta. Two eyes on mine reverted to all green. I removed the eyes and planted them in another bed. The 2 eyes came back as Fire and Ice the following spring. I now have three but I don't ever remember mine having that lovely pure white center in Mctavish' and almosthookeds'. Must be the pure BC air!!!

Here's my 'Frosted Dimples' on May 27. I love this hosta. It keeps its blue almost all summer. The subsatance is great and slugs leave it alone.

I'm having trouble growing Fireworks. Paul, any advice?

I replaced Kabitan with First Mate in this spot and it's growing much better. I made a mistake this spring by trying to get a division. That set FM back a bit.

irawon - My Fireworks was a tiny liner that just persevered - planted under north edge of my oaks and has been moved twice in recent years (other hosta overgrowing it). Gets a fair amount of watering. Definitely a favorite with all it's leaf variation.

Tsugajunkie's photo of Foxfire Palm Sunday reminded me of some TC liners I purchased from Hosta Liners. If you have patience (lots of patience), you can get some nice plants over time.

Steve your fair maiden is a beauty.I never realized that they would grow up to be this beautiful. They had small ones on sale in the fall and I bought one but the leaves were so tiny I just thought it was going to be really small. I set it in lots of shade so will have to check into this further to make sure I am doing it right. So many hosta so little room!

tsbccowboy I too buy from Hosta liners. I have been pleased, they do well and frankly I have nothing else better to do but watch them grow.

My wish list is growing and I am in awe of everyone photos. Here are a few more Fs:

Fragrant Bouque. Reasons not to multi-task.

    Liner babies.
