Mine was a poor grower. It eventually went to hosta heaven all on its own. I won't replace it. If i remember correctly, it is in general a poor grower.

I like Olive Branch for the unique color. I've got two of them but didn't take any great pictures of either this year. Below are some earlier shots.

This plant needs to be seen close up. The color thing would disappear at a distance.

Oh, I love how subtle the coloring is. Very pretty hosta!

I loved the coloring but after the second year it didn't come back.
The second year it was small.

I don't need any divas, but I love the colour of Mctavish' July in some sun. It reminds me of a reverse Luna Moth.

Howdy! I'm no hostas whiz, so follow other's advice please! However, I'm the one who posted the photo (I think), and mine (the one in the photo) has been residing in the pot as you saw it on the side of my driveway for 3 years with absolutely NO special care. The first couple years it was tiny, but this year and last it did better. I have a picture of it later in the season with more leaves, if I can find it, I'll post it. I'm in Zone 6a near the hairy edge of 5B, and it has overwintered and "oversummered" here as I say with an occasional summer watering.

That said, I have always PLANNED on planting it in the ground, but just haven't gotten around to it. Reading what others say maybe I should continue to leave it in its pot and call it good. I LOVE its coloration and it holds fairly consistently all summer for me. Mine came from Green Mountain Hostas some years ago, but they don't seem to carry it any more.
