| Is it time for this again? I think so. Hosta Hillbilly has such a beautiful cat (silver tabby?). We don't even know her name. How about introducing your babies.
These pictures were all taken in 2009 except the ones of Mandy. She's 18 now and seldom goes outside. She's also hard to photograph because of being dark. Her face sort of disappears. Beth seems to be in better shape although she is 6 months older. She will be 19 in the spring.
The picture of Brody was taken last week. He was in the Dog House nearly all summer. He's determined to socialize and finds us quite boring. We finally have an electric fence up which seems to be working. This summer I'm hoping we can trust him outside.

| I can't wait to see everyone's pictures of their pets! My new kitty (I just got him after Thanksgiving) is a twin to HostaHillbilly's beautiful garden cat! This is my first time trying to post a picture, I hope it works! BettyLu |

RE: Pets with Hostas/Garden - my photo didn't work!
| | |
| Well, that did not work the way I intended - I will have to have my tech savvy children show me how it is supposed to be done! I am still looking forward to seeing the rest of your garden dwelling pets pictures until then! BettyLu |

| BettyLu if you set up an account with photobucket it's really easy to post photos on this forum. The basic account is free and all you have to do is copy and paste to link the photo. You've got some gorgeous cats McT, probably no voles with them patrolling the garden! Your dog Brody looks like a real sweetheart. I have one tabby cat and we had three dogs. Our Pepper passed away last April with lymphoma, very quick and unexpected. This is my favorite old pic of her.

| Well, I inadvertently started an OT thread. Someone else thought it was worthy of fun, so here we go. The first pic I sent was of our cat 'Lolli', short for 'Lollygagger', another story. Now here's the rest of the vole patrol:
That's our 'abby', named 'Buggers' doing an 'attack' on our 'snow bengal', named 'Frank', as in 'Ol' Blue Eyes' such fun, and what a lucky shot. hh |

| Shade, sorry you lost Pepper. She looks very content in her garden. HH, it says something that I can look through your pictures and pay no attention to the hostas. What beautiful cats. I've never heard of a Snow Bengal. Frank is very handsome. It seems your cats get along and like each other. None of mine actually do. They are all female except Bo who would probably play if someone would join in.

| Well, here I go again trying to put a picture in my message.... If it works, you will see a twin to HostaHillbilly's "vole solution" kitty sitting at the sunroom doggie door on the day he figured the door out! I am sure he will keep me company as I garden this year - I just hope he has the sense to stay away from my neighbors dog! I was not able to make the picture smaller... I guess I'll have to work at it. Thanks to don_r for the directions - I would never have thought to paste that long html code in the message part! BettyLu

Here's a pic of my cat Smokey Jo. He's basically an indoor cat because he's a woodtick magnet. Peggy

| Nearly everyone has posted pictures of their gorgeous cats. Makes me want to get one again, but for now I have 2 Australian Shepherds. Rosie is our little supervisor when we work in the garden and Riley loves to play soccer when he isn't chasing rabbits or mice. Marg

| Hey, someone stole our cat. Naw, ours was a girl. Smokey Jo, what eyes you have! And I knew before reading that the poochies were herders, nice pair. hh |

| Bo is beautiful, McT. This is what kind of cat? I just put my beautiful 18-year old Birman to sleep on Jan 15 and I've cried every day for almost two weeks. I don't know what I'll do without him sleeping under the hostas - no mice, no voles - for a long long time. He slept on my head and woke me every day with a face bath. I need another cat. No hosta garden is complete without at least ONE. Your garden is beautiful, as are your cats. Westy |

| BettyLou your baby (name?) does look like HH's Lollygager. They are all so beautiful. I expected to see more pictures of Dogs like we usually do with the subject of pets. Peggy, Smokey Jo is beautiful. Is he a pure persian? He looks like it. One of our cats, Heather, (pictured on "my page") ran away to live with the neighbors after we got Bo. Although she was 14 at the time we let them keep her since she was so miserable when ever she was in the room with Bo. They named her Smokey Jo. Westy I am SO sorry for your loss. I can understand how heartbroken you must be. When you are ready I hope you get a couple more cats. There are so many out there that need you. I am living one day at a time with Mandy and Beth since they are both going to be 19 this year. You asked about Bo. I think he is at least part Main Coon Cat. That's what he looks like to me anyway. He not as large or heavy as they are but has the same shape and fur. I loved the picture above of HH's Frank standing on his back legs like a big gopher. Bo goes for walks with us. When we call him he comes and we hold our hand down, against our leg. He stands on his hind legs to rub his head under our hands. He runs like a rabbit and has long front legs that are close together. |

| So many beautiful pets getting their glory shots published...hehehe....and a garden just isn't complete with our babies right? That shot of Elsa laying on the ground belly up and the one of her Sleeping are just way too cute....for some reason I love fat cats...hehehe (I know it's not healthy for them but they are so cuddly) And that photo of Bo claiming your cucumber pot as his perch is just adorable...should be in a magazine....McT you have a nice family of kitties. Marg...you 2 poochies are also gorgeous...and natural mice chasers too...tell em to catch a few voles and moles while they're at it...hehehe...Do they only dig where you tell them to? And Shade Tolerant...your Pepper looks very happy and content in his garden...so sorry you don't have him anymore. Peggy...your smokey is gorgeous...with flaming yellow eyes...and a smooth gray smokey coat...nice combination...you do know that you can get 'Frontline Plus' for him and you put it on the back of his neck once a month and it kills all fleas, ticks, and their eggs..??? Westy...I'm so very sorry for your loss...we know the empty feelings you are presently going thru and can only tell you that time will help heal...and when you are ready a couple new kitties will really brighten up your life again....but don't get them until YOU feel ready....you need time to mourn the loss of your beloved baby....in the mean time...enjoy your photos of your kitty, and maybe plant a few hosta seeds and name your favorite one after him, then... baby that hosta so it grows big and strong...and it will become a beautiful living memmorial to your beloved kitty....Bevie (Mrs. Hillbilly) |

So much fun to see all the pet pix. They are a joy to us I think. Thanks McT and Bevie. Pepper is still very much missed. She was truly a best friend. |
