You really need a streaked pod parent (momma plant) in order to get some streaked seedlings. Send me an email and I can arrange to send you some seeds that will give you streakers. What percentage of germination do you get with Winter Sowing? I've has limited success with this method.

Hosta seeds do not need stratification or pre-chilling, they may be planted right now in a warm environment and under light or in a bright window. When you grow them under light 24 hrs you might win a whole season. When your winter-sown seeds germinate and show the first leaf in May, the seedlings under grow lights have already many larger leaves and are complete plants, some actually will bloom the first season. should be available for under 10 bucks ...

the odds of getting a streaker from a green [and blue is just a green plant with wax that reflects the blue sky] ... or and edged plant.. are in excess of one in a million.. no matter what treatment you use ...

of which.. what is the ...oh.. winter sowing... what a waste of time to wait ... do it indoors the same way ...... right now.. you might have 6 inch plants by the time they sprout outside in the WS system ...

i know jims hosta used to sell seeds.. i am not familiar with others.. but i am sure others can tell you ...
