Liberty in memory of Papou. He passed away 3 1/2 yrs ago and was a member of this Forum (in a big way).

jonnyb - thanks for that link to Papou's garden. It's interesting to note that leap from 3rd year to 4th year hostas. We've all heard "first year they sleep, second year they creep, third year they leap" but it appears that in most cases, it's in the 4th full year that the number of eyes and the overall size really explode. Most of mine were planted in 2013 so I'll have to be patient for another full season before I see a huge difference in my garden. Maybe I should be recording eye numbers this year! Good stuff.

I was wrong. Time has flown by so fast. Papou passed away Aug 1, 2009. Same day as my Aunt.
