    I have a C to share. It's a small hosta called Calypso.

    Climax (June-fairly deep shade)

Cascades (new in 2011--I hope someone posts a more mature pic of this one)

Thanks for starting this Hosta alphabet, hostapumpkin man!

    Here's a few from last summer's garden...

Choko Nishiki really brightens up a shady spot:

Choo Choo Train needs a lot of space, at almost 5' across:

I love the edge on Cutting Edge:

Melissa, and others, here is a pic of Cascades from 2007. Not exactly a mature plant, but it later faded away, and disappeared, sorry to say. Phil

Here is a photo of my Cascades, which was planted in 2002, back when I first learned that there were different varieties of hostas other than "green", "green/white" and "green with white edges".

    You sure about that, Junkie?
That looks like Night Before Christmas to me.
Cascades has much more elongated leaves and more streaking toward the midrib.

And on Cascades, the leaves don't have that arch... they're kinda held a bit more upright.

Here is a link that might be useful: Hosta Library: Cascades

I was thinking the same as Melissa. The first picture is Cascades (2nd year) in the front. It was early so it hadn't arched over yet.

    Some more C's

Hmmm, I think you're right about my "Cascades." I bought it as a dormant plug (one of many) during Shady Oak's final sale to the public in 2001 or 2002. The place was a madhouse, with folks grabbing plugs out of bins right and left. Even though I was fairly new to hosta, having just bought a house with tons of trees (goodbye dream of having lots of roses), I was careful to label them based on what I thought I had purchased.

Thanks for the correction - I'll update my label this spring when the 3 feet of snow finally melts and the ground thaws - mid June, perhaps???

Here's Christmas Cookies from late last July. Looking a little ratty, but I think this was the only pic I took of it last year. Phil

I have just decided that this is a dangerous game to play this time of year. I think I am no going to order Celestial and Clifford's Comet (and I was supposed to be done with my spring orders!)

Oops. In my post above I meant to say I am now going to order Celestial and Clifford's Comet. I need to slow down and proofread better.
