Well, as most of you know, the national hosta convention is being held here in the lovely Twin Cities of Minneapolis/St. Paul MN this year.
Registration is cheaper this year.... only $199 if registered by May 16
And the chairs of the committee said that the hotel is $10 cheaper this year than the last time we held the convetion.

The most exciting part is that I have chosen to volunteer as a bus captain! So, I was thinking that it would be a great time for those of us from GW to get to know each other a bit better if we all try to ride the same bus.

What do y'all think?!?!?

I signed up to captain a couple of months ago. I've been a captain a couple of times on the MHS tours in the past.

Hopefully I will have a job by then and can afford the convention. If not, I won't be a captain afterall.

I was a bus captain for the 2005 AHS Convention in Cleveland OH - what a trip(s)!

The best tip, or should I say warning, I received was - getting folks back on the bus was like "herding cats".

Enjoy - it will be something you will ALWAYS remember.
