The idea of a $700 hosta has me wondering, if you received a $700 gardening stimulus check from uncle sam,
to be spent in your garden, how would YOU spend it?
1 $700 hosta ?
70 $10 hostas ?
A Henri fountain ?
New patio furniture ?
New lawn mower ?
Pay someone $35 a week for 20 weeks to mow your lawn ?
I would buy 7 $100 Japanese maples! How would you spend your gardening stimulus check? |

Maybe $200 on hostas and $500 on some garden sculptures.
DH doesn't get Valentine's gift!

Great idea for a topic!
A few things:
$200 for admission to the national convention
$200 to have a stupid poured concrete pad removed from a bad spot.
$200 for amendments and hostas to fill the spot.
$100 for hostas to fill a garden I started last year.
I'm not sure how I'm going to make it all the way to national convention without buying hostas to fill the new garden (20-30 square feet) |

Yeah, I'm with Denny...$699 for hostas and $1 for a Valentine's card.

| I'd spend it on stone edging for my beds or an irrigation system. Deanna |

| I would add drip irrigation zones to my sprinkler system and if any money is left over, I'd spend it on improved garden soil and amendments. Then I'd be ready to spend another $700 on hostas. |

| I would buy more plants, always more plants. I have a lot of small trees, JMs, dogwoods, and big trees. So more hostas, perennials, shrubs. |
