There was a snowfall before I got them in. I had to wait for the melt before planting. I added a lot of compost and rotted manure to the soil before planting, so I am hoping for quick takeoff.

You got 28 hosta in that spot? Wow, that's impressive. I am waiting for Spring, too. Not with a whole heck of a lot of patience, though. I walk out and check things, ad nauseum. My husband has labeled me, well, nuts, I'm sure. He's still real nice about it, though! You know, you get the ah-huh, yes, that's great, dear while he's making the phone call that will take you away. What, that doesn't happen to anyone else? LOL :)

Absolutely can't wait until Spring so that I can go outside and windmill like a fool in the sunshine!!!!!!

I was out today looking at the pots. The DH came out for something, and I said, "I have pips!" in an excited tone. He looked confused for a minute, then said, "Oh, hosta." And, he didn't even roll his eyes.
