Two picture collages of some of my older hosta - most of these planted in 05 or 06 - fun to see leaf changes - wider margins, leaf textures, shape and size.

Top - Abiqua Moonbeam, Aristocrat, Christmas Tree
Middle - Dream Weaver, Fair Maiden, fortunei Hyacynthina
Bottom - Fragrant Bouquet, Francee, Frances Williams
edit : share : Hosta .. a few of my favorites...

***************************************************************************
Top - Gold Standard, June, Paradigm
Middle - Regal Splendor, Sagae, Stained Glass
Bottom - Striptease, Wide Brim, August Moon
Hosta .. a few of my favorites... part 2

Striptease and Stained Glass are newer (08) but growing strong.

Thanks for looking.

Paul

Great photos, Paul. I got a big chunk of fortunei Hyacynthina from my neighbor last September. I can't wait to see it next spring. And that photo of Fair Maiden is absolutely perfect. Great job of growing and shooting.

RE: A few of my favorites....

Every time I look at these posts of all the beautiful Hosta gardens it makes it double-hard to wait until spring! My simple subdivision lot does not give me enough room to do a lot, but I am surely giving it all I can!

This spring I hope to post pictures of my new babies, some of them the same as you posted as your favorites - so that is really encouraging for me. Of course, since they were just planted last fall (2009) and most of them were 2 or 3 eyes it will be a while before they look anything like your posted photos!

Tonight I'll fall asleep dreaming of HH's and your beautiful pictures - anticipating that someday I'll be able to have gorgeous hosta to enjoy at home! Keep up the photos!

Beautiful!
No slug damage, how do you do it? lol
Mine all look tattered and holey by mid summer from slugs feasting out on them. Even with the Sluggo!
This year I'm trying pine straw around them.
Hopefully, someday they'll look as good as yours.

Thanks for the view

Thanks for posting the beautiful pics Paul--I always look forward to your posts. It makes the anticipated snow storm a little less painful!!

Since I am currently looking out at my all-white garden (and not the kind most people drool over), your pics were a delightful reminder of things to come-in fewer than 46 days! Well, at least that's what we are hoping.

Thanks to all for their kind comments. I need my picture fix too. Looking forward to spring - hail hit hard at beginning of summer last year, so not many pics taken as compared to previous years.

Overwhelming. ALMOST more than I could take in one sitting ;-) Did you write a 4-letter word beginning with 'h'? Naughty. Sure hope we can get over MN way some day and see some of the many wonderful gardens there in fellow zone 4 land.
