Which would you choose?

I have a small bed with 'Hadspen Blue', 'Halcyon', 'El Nino' and other shade plants. There's room for one more hosta. Which would you choose: 'Aristocrat', 'Autumn Frost' or 'High Society'?

I'd make more room by enlarging the existing bed or put in an additional bed and add all three.

Plus June, First Frost, and a couple dozen more. Actually I think if I had just a small bed I would go for June, tried and true and one of the best, or First Frost.

So to answer your question Jays I would add 'High Society'

Well, I agree with Frank that you should get all three. All of them are beautiful Hosta. If you are only going to get one I'd get Autumn Frost. High Society and Aristocrat both reportedly have slow growth rates.

Aristocrat is a piece of carp.. and only 3 peeps in the northern hemisphere.. can grow it well .. and they will immediately post pix and tell you theirs grow like weeds on the driveway ... i would guess 8 have died for me ...

there are too many other.. easy.. hosta to grow ..

cross it off your list..

Make room or find room and plant all three.

Thanks for all the great answers, especially the advice about the slow growers, although it sounds like they're all worthwhile hosts. I do have other beds & other hostas, I was just trying to decide on the perfect one for this small bed.
