I'm going to divide Whirlwind, and try half in more sun to see how it fares:

I received X-Ray as a bonus from Direct Source Hostas last Spring. I'm not fond of mini's, but I found a small space to add it at the edge of a newly dug garden expansion. The photo shows X-Ray still in its pot, looking healthy. Last year there were many concerns about plants from this vendor, who was selling out all his hostas...concerns about disease. I bought three hostas from DSH and all (including the bonus) arrived healthy looking. But I will watch them closely.

Anyway, a few days after I planted X-Ray, critters (most likely rabbits,) ate it down to the crown. I surrounded it w/chicken wire, and it came back with enough growth to send food to the roots, before freezing weather set in. We shall see...
