Does anyone know the status of Countryboy Gardens are they still in business and have you had any difficulties ordering from them this spring?

I haven't ordered from Country Boy Gardens for quite some time. My one and only experience with them was not positive. It's pretty true with Hostas that you get what you pay for. Instead of looking for the lowest price, you are better off in the long run paying a fair market price to a reputable vendor that gives you healthy and large sized plants that will thrive in your garden. My experience with CBG was that the plants were too small, lacked vigor and I ended up replacing them after a year of very little growth.

Just my $.02

Hallson's is still peddling. So is Land of the Giants, Green Mountain, Naylor, etc. This is a link to a post where we discussed where we like to buy hosta. I don't think it's changed much.

I like to buy from Land of the Giants. They ship large healthy plants to me for getting faster to maturity. Last year I also bought from Glenbrook Farm (in my area) and got nice plants. Bernd
