Here are my first hosta confessions of the season. Share yours too!

Yes, I did ask my DH to trudge through 3 and a half feet of snow to bring Gunther's Prize into the house a week or so ago. To be quite honest though, he was more than willing to brave the 8 degree weather to search among 100 pots to find my prized hosta!

And Yes, today I was feeling pretty good about myself when I left the house this morning. New haircut, new outfit, new shoes. It wasn't until I was finishing up my last tax return of the day did I realize the I had a huge glob of dirt underneath my index finger nail. I was mortified!

On the bright side, I found five shoots while poking around the soil in Gunther's Prize pot before I left!

I bought Gunther's Prize as a single eye in 2012. It had 5 eyes in 2013. I just checked on him and two more shot up overnight, making a total of 7 so far! I've grown GP in full sun for the past two seasons, thinking that it would multiple fast. I can't wait to see the leaves unfurl, I'm hoping their all streaked.

Yes Phil, I read Ken's post. No need to worry about me poking around the gardens, there's still at least a couple of feet of snow out there. We had about 120 inches this winter.

Two years ago today, we had a record high of 83. No chance of that happening today.

Glad to be back on the forum. Looking forward to everyone's pictures!

i am still mystified... by what you are confessing ....

it ought to be.. that you sent your husband out in a couple feet of snow to get you the pot...

rather than bringing it inside to force early growth ...
