can i get more for my buck?

I just bought a pack of 3 hosta roots and I was curious if there is any way i can divide one of the bigger ones into multiple palnts. i read they reproduce from Rhizomes but not sude how to take cuttings and such. i have the roots available as i havent planted one yet (already planted other 2)

would be nice if i could get 3-4 out of this last root or even more if its possible.

It will be possible to get several plants from that root system in a few years, after it's had time to multiply. Each root system has only one crown and you have to have one crown for each plant.

it would depend on the actual size of the root you have .. and w/o a pic.. what she said ...
