Hosta buying splurge

As has become tradition (year two) I take my Mom hosta shopping for Mother's Day/birthday which fall within days of each other. Spent the past two days buying hosta for her and for me.

Here is my list. They are still in their pots in my staging area, but are good sizes, so will post pics when I get them in the ground!

Holy Haul, that's FANTASTIC!! Can't wait to see the photos!
I'm thinking of driving up to House of Hostas near Green Bay tomorrow to see if anything is up yet.

Don: Cory's Beauty is a sport of Blue Mammoth, originated and registered by Robert Cory of Cory's Wildflower Garden here in Ohio. It is registered and is in the Hostapedia. Blue center with white edge. He also has Cory's Sweetheart, but that one is not registered.

Mary: Happy hosta hunting at House of Hostas!

Jon: Between me and my sister funding my Mom's buying she really gets a haul. She ended up with 27 new ones.

Definitely can't wait to see the pics! I saw Goodness Gracious in the greenhouse at PDN yesterday and it's a beauty!

Gotta tell you that going to the Hosta Library to look up some plants mentioned on this forum is proving to be helpful to recalling the names of some of my plants and also enabling me because I keep happening upon even more I adore! While looking up Cory's Beauty I remembered that Cool Hand Luke is another one I should have, and I also found Corn Muffins that I now want :)

Your mom has great children to buy her hostas for Mother's Day!!

WOW! Now that's the definition of splurge! I picked up a Spartacus today since it was one of the hostas I lost this winter.

Here's my Cory's Beauty the first year that I picked it up from Cory. I didn't get a picture of it last year since it was crowded by other hostas. It's on my list to move.

It reminds me of Sugar Daddy. The edges don't burn out on Cory's Beauty like they do on Sugar Daddy.

How wonderful to be able to share that with your mom. Lucky you to get that many new hostas. I hardly ever see Hampshire County mentioned, but I really like mine. It's a nice sized plant with big rounded leaves.
