Blue Boy

I planted this plant years ago,in the shadier part of my garden,and it languished there for years,before I moved it to an area by my garden path,where it is now thriving. Blue Boy has some sieboldiana in it genes,but I don't think it really is Blue Boy,after reading,and seeing a pic in my hosta book. It definitely looks like some form of sieboldiana,however. This plant always comes up late,as do all my big blues. Take a look. Phil

hey philly bo'billy ....

boy .. i think i lost this one a long time ago ...

i seem to think.. at one time of another... it was said to have a blue flower ...

perusing the library .... i see what could be called a blue flower [but which in reality isnt] ... which would sure take it out of the realm on sieboldiana to some extent ...

but then i look at the pics of leaves there ... and well phil... what book were you looking in???

i am confused ..

Hey Ken,I was looking at Diana Grenfell's book,and it shows a plant with much smaller leaves,and she describes it as a good "edger plant"! It would be a good edger,if your garden was full of giant hostas! Phil
