Child of the Queen

Don, an update for you on it's progress.
It came to me as quite a small plant, a one year out of TC probably.
I encountered a little bit of rot on it early on causing the loss of one pip and the deft use of some 10 to 1 dilute bleach.
It pulled through that ok and has grown quite slowly since. A couple of tiny new eyes have appeared and I am hopeful of better progress over the rest of the season.
Anyway here is a selection of shots taken yesterday,

This last shot shows a leaf with the start of a rippled edge inherited from it's "mum" ?

can i be frank???? [wink, wink]...

i can not see any way.. that this came from queen of the seas .... nothing .. absolutely no trait resemblance at all ...

and to verify such.. i go to the hosta library.. and they dont even have QOS ... whats that all about ...

man.. if you didnt tell me the name ... i would have told you it was an undulata ....

you have a great story here .... dont ever stop telling it ... and do keep us updated ....

Ken, all I know is that it was introduced by Van den Top in Holland. Found in a TC batch of QotS. Not registered so not in the Library

Just checked. Naylor Creek have it listed as a new intro for this year. Sold out but carries a good description.

I found Queen of the Seas and Child of the Queen in the Hosta Library. Look again.
