Another question on Spin Out Bags

Has anyone ever dug one up and moved it? I already planted one too close to another and I know one will have to be moved in a couple of years.

seems like it would pull right out of the ground...

you arent burying the top.. are you ...

just move it ...

Yeah, I just pull it out of the ground. some times i have to dig the dirt away on one side to make it easier. I did move one today that had some roots that had escaped over the top- guess it wants out of that bag!!

now, taking a hosta OUT of spin out bag is not fun. The roots cling to the sides.

I put in some spin out bags last year, but removed most of them this spring. The soil was just too wet so I just pulled them out. The bag seemed quite strong and did not rip. I think the larger sized spin out bags would be too heavy to lift without removing the plant. I put the bags back in the same whole a week or two later.
