convert to the latin name.. add 'zone' ..

and you will find its zone 7 to 10 ..

Hi Jan,

Ken and others helped me last year. They told me that it likes damp environments and I believe it comes from the west coast?

They didn't think that I could overwinter it, but I tried anyway and it didn't do all that well. I kept it in the bathroom where four people shower every morning and it did well for a while. I thought the browning wa s caused by aphids and I sprayed it a couple of times but that didn't help too much as you can see.

BTW ... though a conifer... the reason its so relatively cheap... is that they are rooted cuttings ...

you might wnat to think about that.. come fall ..

conifers are trees.. and as you can imagine.. they are not houseplants ... there are so many variables that are so wrong.. in the house ...

but rooting some.. MIGHT be a way... convert to the latin.. and add PROPAGATION ... in any search engine ...

Well.....it cost less than a bouquet of flowers, so I'll enjoy it in the rock garden for the summer, and buy another one next year! Sure is a pretty little thing for now.
