Here's a 4-pip 'Trifecta' this year...two more shorter pips hiding under the first ones. The gold/yellow shows more in last year's pic but give this one time, right?

New in 2013

This is not a tri coloured hosta, it is in fact 'June Spirit' but today it is looking like a streaker with three colours so I will show it to you because it is so unusual. :-) ... Also has obvious signs of cold damage on outer leaves...has a way to go to full unfurling.

I love the tri-colored ones, so every one I own is my favorite!

Here's 'Fantasy Island'

Just received today - another MD surprise that went along with the Thai dinner...'Lakeside Cupcake' along with the lovely stone. LCD has the same three colours as your LLA albeit on a smaller scale. :-).

'Forbidden Fruit' is always catching my eye!

'Hudson Bay' is a strong grower. I think it might be a suitable alternative to 'Great Expectations'-for those of you who can't grow GE.

I am loving all the tri-colored hostas! I am new here, not a gardener, but love to admire all this beauty. Would hostas work well and look ok among holly shrubs? Just wondering...thanks for any feedback!

Hi, Deborah....if you hang around here long enough, the hosta bug gets you. Aren't these some lovely plants?

Holly comes in all sizes, from tree down to small stuff. I don't have my book available to check it, but I know that one book lists all the suitable and UNsuitable plants to plant your hosta around.

Cannot tell what your specific gardening zone is, but all of Kentucky is friendly to hosta.

Welcome to the forum. Watch for more eye candy as more northern folks catch up with the southern folks on leafed out hosta gardens.
