Maybe? He didn't unfurl until just recently and we've had no frost that I can confirm. He's the only one out of 100+ hostas with this strange white "bleeding".
Hostanista, I had the plant covered but it was damaged anyway but only on 2 or 3 leaves. The damage showed up a few days after the freeze Mid-April. It was on the white center of the leaf which eventually just disintegrated so I yanked those leafs of the plant. It's a pretty full plant so it didn't make a bit of difference.
spring dessication ... either cause by minor frost.. or too much sun.. when there are no leaves on the trees...
ignore it..
i hate spring damage.. and all the virus questions ...
i thought the primer would help.. all it did.. was intensify it ...
