Mini Heucheras âÂÂPeppermint and Sugar Berryâ from the little cutie series team up. Adding a little height, color, and back drop to H. âÂÂMighty Mouseâ with a couple of sprigs of Golden Scotch Moss to fill in around.

This basket is hanging off the edge of the deck right at eye height. Is filled with H. âÂÂDesigner Genesâ just so the red petioles can stand out. Paired up with another mini Heuchera âÂÂBlondieâÂÂ, a compact upright Fuchsia for color, and Wandering Jew just for some trailing interest.

I put together this pot last year. I'll be doing it again this year.

What a great idea to plant a hosta with red petioles at eye height, well done.
I love the hypertufa plantings and that Brother Stephan is simply 'wow'.

My combo pots are mostly all hosta. No other stuff. I did remove a very healthy wild violet from my Zounds today, and put it in the big firepit planter with other wild violets. No picture of that though.

So here are some of my combos.

The Razor's Edge in the middle of lots of Verna Jean. Some were old ones, and some were new this spring. I find it hard at a casual glance to tell which are old, which are new. All the Verna Jeans came from Green Mt.

This is a "combo" of 3 Purple Passions. That is a watering olla jug in the middle. I cannot wait for those hosta to send up their spikes with deep purple flowers. I had one before and it died before it bloomed. These seem happy in their communal urn.

I have five of this sort of arrangement with from 3 to 5 or 6 mini hosta in them. I have them up against my house to keep an eye on them this spring, since I refreshed them in the pots. Mostly to keep the squirrels from messing with the soft potting mix. I like this one.

It seems to me the little guys like the company.
