I need you to check the name again for the hosta identified as LS Black Satin. I have that, and it is very dark and solid green, not variegated. The picture you show is gorgeous, would like to know what it is.

Mocc, good eye! I looked back at the tag and there was an "s" peeking out of the very edge of the mulch, so it must be a Lakeside Black Satin sport. They get me with those occasionally, especially when they've newly mulched! I corrected the original post to help out others. That one is a real looker, wish it was available!

Ken, Yes, it does. Can you guys click on these and they get larger or no? I've always wondered if my flickr settings allowed that or no. I'll adjust the settings, if you can't.

Fun seeing these, as I have several of them that are a lot smaller. Maybe in 5-6 years they look like your photos.

Ken, Tom Schmid looks like a bluer version of Regal Splendor. Like RS, it's a slow grower. Mine is 3 years old and finally got a second eye this year.

Funn, the Black Satin sport is very interesting. Guess I'll need to keep an eye on when it becomes available. My favorite variegation. This year for the first time one of my two LS Black Satin look like something good. The other one is pouting.

I need to get to the next Plant Delights open weekend! That place is dangerous....leads to spending lots of $$ :)

Not only are your hosta healthy and beautiful, but you have managed to gather quite a few "lesser known" cultivars. At least by my limited standards.
