Picked this up unmarked at a nursery. Thought it might be Great Expectations, but not sure.

Looks like it's gotten a good start in life...In my personal opinion, they're too beautiful to not at least TRY to grow one, especially when you see it 'in person'...Good luck with it!

perhaps GE needs to be cajoled to survive, surviving a cold canuckian winter, after all, is a feat!

This is my GE today, all my pots are indoors today as we had a bit of a storm roll through.

The colours are great on this one, like a watercolour painting. It was two years in the garden and I rescued it last autumn as it was in a very wet spot and has responded well to a bit of tlc in a pot.
