Regal Splendor was the first hosta I ever bought. I kept two and gave one to my father in law. I originally had them along the side of my house but moved each to a spot where it's architectural features could be shown off better. It is the fastest growing large hosta for me.

Reagal Splendor is a very nice hosta,but,as you can guess,grows very differently in my garden. Mine is very tall and right now in my garden is green with almost white margins,due to being up two months earlier than ya'lls up north,and in more sun with a ton of rain this year. Phil

These are beauties, great specimens. I love this look as well. I have 'Krossa Regal', but not 'Regal Splendor'. I was walking my neighborhood the other day and saw great examples of both, planted in a neighbor's north-facing front yard, maybe 5 feet from one another. They had some smaller hosta underplanted among the biggies, perhaps 'Diamond Tiara', and it looked gorgeous.

the 2nd Regal Splendor I divided from cpl years ago.

I lost mine this year :( It was about two - three years old and it was just starting to look lovely. I replaced it with Regal Supreme, so I am interested to see what it looks like when it is older. The photos of it look nice.

btw All of the pics above look great - such a nicely shaped hosta.

RS looks good in everyone's garden. I'm partial to the vase shaped ones. I have RS flanking the entrances from the driveway to my garden. Here is one of them.

These three RS are old, but beautiful every year. I moved another one today out of that same bed that was being strangled by hackberry tree roots. It came up only a foot tall this year. It should grow well in its new spot.
