Thanks for this post. I agree! I have looked at some of my hostas for 2-3 years and watched them wither away. Only lately have I got up off my butt and decided to move a few, and it has made a big difference so far.

Hmmm...out of hibernation already? Thanks for posting, I am going to go out and move my Dream Queen tonight. I think it is struggling with tree roots.

Thanks for the reminder, it's just what I needed to read! Life's circumstances have gotten between my hostas and me (my dad died and my mom was injured by a surgeon and rendered an invalid) and it's only this year that i've been able to go out and see if anything survived my neglect over the past 4 years. So many losses, so many surprises and quite a few need moved to sunnier locations. Hope you are well.

Hosta freak, this is an excellent reminder. I have a few that are languishing in gloom and need to be moved. 2 years ago I moved SS that was competing with the neighbor's maple tree roots, and it is starting to look better with some morning sun and no root competition.

It sounds like you are badly in need of some hosta healing therapy! You must be happy to be able to reconnect and enjoy them again, whether it be moving, weeding, dividing, etc....
