Moving hostas...

I have been moving some of my hostas, which is something I rarely do,but they needed it. I have moved Christmas Cookies,Fantasy Island, and just today,I moved Candy Cane. These hostas were not performing well, and Christmas Cookies,I though was lost, but when I dug it up,I found good roots, but no leaves, Since I moved it,it has put out four tiny leaves! Candy Cane, which came from Ken last year, was planted in an area where there were a lot of tree roots,so I think it will respond immediately. I may have to move Fire and Ice,as it has dwindled to being barely alive, Fantasy Island was almost gone, but recently,it put on a little leaf, and, since I replanted it,it has started putting tiny leaves around the edge of the crown. Most of these plants are white-centered,and were in too much shade. Why am I mentioning all this? Because some newbies will get it that if a hosta is not performing well, move it to another location! Just a few thoughts for today. Phil
