Hosta, sidewalks, snow, salt-tolerance?

Hi all!

After a little backyard work I'm going to overhaul my front perennial bed, which is right by the sidewalk but but raised about 8 inches.

My city just took over snow and ice removal starting this winter, which means they'll be salting and plowing the sidewalks, and I can't bully them into aiming away from the beds or using plant friendly ice-melter.

I already have a few mini hostas in this bed and was thinking this would be a lovely spot to build a mini-hosta display, but I don't want to embark on a fool's errand and lose a bunch of hosta to salt damage. I know hosta have a reputation of being fairly salt-resistant, but I wasn't sure if this extended to cute lil mini hosta.

What do you think?
