What do you think, Ken?

A little while ago I posted a pic of H. 'Knockout'. You (Ken) posted and commented on it, saying you had a few, that they were stunning, but they ended up dying. I subsequently wanted to know what attracted you to it in particular at the time.

Since it has put on more leaves and the colour is getting more pronounced, I thought I would try again to have it identified. I am wondering if you can recall how yours grew? Did it look like this pic?

I will also post a second pic of last year's NOID leaf and also a third pic of this year's NOID as it looks so far. Do these look familiar to you?

The reason I'm asking is this: I think they may be the same plant. You would have a good handle on it, having owned a few of them before.

What do you think? I'd appreciate your input - you might solve one of my NOID mysteries! Thanks. Pic #1 of current Knockout.

P.S. This thread is not exclusive to Ken so if anyone sees something familiar, pleeeease post :-)

Pic #2 a leaf of last year's noid. This leaf was one of three of a division of a plant I received. I have no picture of the entire plant that this division was cut from.

In pic #2 the mother plant was being grown in full sun FYI (green where I suspect it might retain more of a blue centre grown in half shade - I'm guessing)

Here is pic #3 of emergent NOID as of minutes ago.

i may have said... that well grown ones are stunning..

and that mine were all POS that eventually failed ...

the first looks close enough for me...

i would not suggest anyone waste money on this plant.. UNLESS YOUR ONLY REASON.. IS TO THINK YOU MIGHT GROW IT BETTER THAN I EVER DID ... rotflmbo ....

why else do you think i bought it ... i had something to prove to someone.. lol .. and i lost that bet ...

I paid $5 for it - before I knew anything about it at all, or that it was a plant by Aden. :-(. If it dies I will be disappointed because it IS attractive. But, if it lives, well, you will be one of the first to hear about it, ok? I just know you'll be happy for me IF that happens.... then we'll both get a chuckle out of it!

Poor plant...maybe it got bad karma, as in Aden karma! I could always pretend its a Florence Shaw and take good care of it. It could be hers, I guess we will never know.
