I don't see the 'Fingerprint' characteristics in this pic, sorry. Perhaps as it matures, we all hope.

We had, for years, another one with those characteristics, H. 'Tattoo', and many wondered at how nice it was doing.

Alas, know as a tricky one, sure enough the past two years saw it diminish to death, literally, even after replanting it in a protective cocoon.

That doesn't look much like Fingerprint to me? I saw one at the nursery recently that had a distinctive weird mottled/fadeout appearance on the leaves. I immediately recognized that it was a new hosta for me to see. They were small plants, so I don't think it needs maturity to get the look. It's been a couple weeks since I saw them, so maybe this is a hosta that greens up later in the season? The ones I saw looked like the last pic in the hosta library.

Give it some sun and the edge should show itself. You can just see the edge in the pic. My OS clump gets sun until 11 am and it's pretty showy.

Dave, your Fingerprint gave me hope and since I placed mine in the same lighting conditions that you described, the colours have definitely become more distinct. thanks.
